Hey there! A fantastic Saturday is shaping up, and we have all the Grateful Dead to make the day all that much better...

On this day in 1978, the boys stormed into the mighty Dane County Coliseum in the midst of some frigid, sub-zero temps and immediately turned up the heat. The show is a monster, but the Dead saved the best for last with a Eyes>Playin>The Wheel>Playin that is just magical. Give it a good listen - and warm up your day - at Grateful Dead of the Day.

In the midst of a Pacific Northwest tour, the Dead are honing new tunes - an early Dark Star and just the third China Cat and fourth Eleven - and turning heads at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, on this day in 1968.
