From Grateful Dead of the Day
At the Greensboro Coliseum back on this day in 1981, the Dead offered up a fast-paced, jammed out, pure eighties show featuring some solid contributions by Brent. The first set ends with a righteous China> Rider and the second half gets going with a post-disco Shakedown that gets everyone rocking. There is also a lovely Eyes along with an entire bag of other treats. Listen to it all at Grateful Dead of the Day.
On the second night at the Palladium, the Dead broke out the first Stephen of Spring '77 in incredible fashion, going Stephen> NFA> Stella> Stephen> Saturday Night. All told, it was another brilliant evening in the midst of a magical tour. Listen to the entire show.
