With the last Louie, Louie ever, the Dead stormed through Louisville on this day back in 1989. Brent was on fire, using his lightning keys to goad the rest of the band into a command performance. A 1970 Fillmore show is about as good as it gets. But on this day, there is some extra excitement as a fan jumps on stage after Good Lovin', gets the band into a hoe-down bluegrass jam, and then busts out some lyrics to what has become known as "The Cowboy Song." Listen to the amazing show and hear the crowd go wild for one of their own.
