Back in 1991, the Dead, with Bruce at their side, came firing with tons of energy and a pocketful of surprises. On this day in 1978, the Dead concluded the Shakedown Street sessions, which Lowell George of Little Feat produced. The stories of the Dead and George screwing around during the studio time are legendary, and the outtakes we have here, particularly George taking lead vocals on Good Lovin', are pretty sweet themselves. Check them all out.
