From Grateful Dead of the Day
It is hard to get across to the uninitiated just how incredible the Veneta show from this day in 1972 is. For those in the know, the only question is what is the best part, the 30-minute earth-shattering Dark Star, the magical Bird Song, the fiery deep-space Playin', or any of the other scintillating tunes. Regardless, you owe it to yourself to get on over to Grateful Dead of the Day and fire up the show.
Veneta gets all the attention, but there is a nice little 1980 show from this date as well. The first set highlights include a steamy Jed and ripping, spacious Stranger. The second half gets going with a smoking China> Rider before a powerful Estimated into a fast-paced Eyes. Jerry also gives us two incredible performances on High Time and Stella that you will not want to miss. Check it all out.
