On this day in late '69, the Dead played a short acoustic set on the way to their classic 1970 format. They also debuted a few new tunes, including the first Monkey and the Engineer and Mason's Children. But the boys left more than enough room for their well-known and loved repertoire, including a Pig-fronted Good Lovin', transcendent acid-laced Other One Suite, and a 30-plus minute Lovelight to close it all out. Listen to the entire show at Grateful Dead of the Day.
This is a remastered video rendering of the entire show from this day in 1994, including what might be the best Days Between Jerry and the boys ever gave us. Watch it all.
