Jerry played Wolf for the last time with the Dead on this day in 1993, and he uses it to scorch a Johnny B. Goode in the early going. Later, the drummers usher in a Mardi Gras parade - with Bill Clinton smoking a joint - before suddenly birthing an Iko in a truly magical transition. Ornette Coleman sits in, helping take an Other One into an intricately layered Stella out of Space. Oh yeah, and there is a digeridoo in Drums to boot. Listen to it all and read more. This is the penultimate night of the epic 1971 run at the Capitol Theater. And the Dead put in another command performance. It would have been absolutely mind blowing to have been there for all six nights of the run. At least the rest of us can still listen to it now.
