As you can see, we have moved The Daily Nugs party to Substack. This will give other folks more opportunity to discover the newsletter. And it also helps us keep costs down. If you have any feedback about the move to Substack or anything else about the newsletter or Grateful Dead of the Day, you can always hit us up at Jeff@GratefulDeadoftheDay.com.
Now back to our regular Dead programming…
The Dead started 1973 off right with the debut of the proto Wall of Sound and seven new tunes, including TLEO, Here Comes Sunshine, Row Jimmy, China Doll, and Eyes of the World, all on February 9th. Listen to the entire show and read more about the epic night - including the undulating venue floor - at Grateful Dead of the Day.
The show from this day in 1986 is arguably the best of the run at the Henry Kaiser Convention Center that started off the year for the Dead. It was the second of the Chinese New Year shows, and a Chinese dragon made its way through the place and across the stage during Space. Out of that Space comes The Other One rocketing off at a phenomenally heady pace before coming a little back down to earth. If you like 80s Dead and are not afraid of delving into some 1986, then this show has a lot to offer. Click on over to Grateful Dead of the Day to take it all in.
Until tomorrow, spread the love and enjoy the music!
