From Grateful Dead of the Day
Though there is only one show from this day in Dead history, it is a smoker from the mighty Spectrum. There is an epic 25-minute Dancin' that includes a seriously funky jam. Afterwards, Jerry stays out with the drummers, turning the dancing into late-night, dark-alley street racing with a fast, furious, and foreboding sound. Out the other end, a Not Fade Away like you have never heard before emerges as the boys take the down home, country-blues sound into a labyrinth-like, dank place that is pure Grateful Dead.
