After bringing Dark Star out on New Year's '78, on this day in 1979, the Dead put it back on the rack until the end of '81. The show also includes a sizzling Minglewood, a righteous Stagger Lee, and an uneven, though still brilliant and stratospheric, Other One that eventually leads into the Dark Star.
