From Grateful Dead of the Day
On this date back in 1969, the Dead played the Fillmore West. But that was the only January 4th show the boys ever did. According to a newspaper article on the night at the Fillmore, the setlist was quite good, including Morning Dew, Good Morning Little Schoolgirl, Dark Star> Stephen> The Eleven> Lovelight. Unfortunately, that is all we know about the show. There are no recordings out there of that evening or any of the others from the band’s four-night run at the Fillmore West in early January of ’69. But you can always slip over to Grateful Dead of the Day and find another fantastic show to listen to.
