From Grateful Dead of the Day
A rare Dead show with both Hornsby and Brent went down on this day back in 1990. The first-set We Can Run and Bird Song are not to be missed, but the real crux of the show is the Playin'> UJB> Playin' in the second set along with the beautiful Brokedown encore. Give the entire night a listen at Grateful Dead of the Day. And there is some great video of the night, including of just the Bird Song as well as a remaster of the entire night.
The second set on this night in 1981 is a thing of beauty, including a luscious, unhurried Althea, an Estimated> Eyes, and, need we say more, a Playin'> UJB> China Doll> UJB> Playin'. And the whole night goes out on a sweet Casey Jones encore. Give it all a listen.
