Having just busted it out after a five-year hiatus, the Dead go right back to Stephen - following it up with a rocking Dancin'> Music Never Stopped - to open the second set on this day in '76. And the other side of that set is just as magical with Sugar Mags> Eyes> Stella> Sunshine Daydream seeing it out. Click on through and give a listen to the entire face-melting show from the Boston Music Hall.
Bobby gives us a ripping Minglewood (“these upstate fillies”), Jerry pours out his unbridled passion on Row Jimmy, and Vince leads the charge on some flighty jams in a delightful Queen Jane, all in the first set on this 1992 night at the Knick. The latter half of the show keeps it going with a joyous Foolish Heart, a Playin’ that has the boys winding through the Martian-like ether before they enter a portal into a bright Uncle John’s, and a rich and luscious Wharf Rat, all capped by a Quinn encore. Give it all a listen.
