On the second night of summer tour back in '87, Brent killed it, getting the band going early with a funky Walkin' Blues and continuing to range on the keys the rest of the night. The rest of the boys were no slouches either, particularly on the Other One> Morning Dew> Sugar Mags out of Space. Listen to the entire show and relive the glories of summer tour.
With a two-week break in their schedule back in 1970, the Dead jetted off to Hawaii to hang with Quicksilver Messenger Service, take in some sun, and, of course, play music. And on this day, they did just that, sharing the bill at a swanky nightclub and throwing down. The boys are on throughout the night, but it is Pig who owns it on Good Lovin' and Lovelight. Get a little of that aloha spirit.
With Bobby delivering the lyrics and switching from acoustic to electric mid-song like the rock star he is while Jerry lays in some lovely runs, the Looks Like Rain from this day in 1993 is very fine indeed. Enjoy it on video.
