The show opens with the boxy, almost accordion-sounding first chords of Cold Rain and Snow, but it is the Row Jimmy and incredible Playin' in the Band that are the standouts of the first set on this day back in '76. In the second half, the boys delivered one of the final Cosmic Charlies and blew the doors off with a late-set Help> Slip> Franklin's that Jerry shreds while Phil drops some serious bombs. Listen to the show in all its glory at Grateful Dead of the Day.
With breakouts of Stagger Lee and Comes A Time, the first - so good - Keep On Growing, an oddly slotted set opening Morning Dew, and lots of Healy effects, the show from this day at the Greek will keep you on your toes. And don't miss the Let It Grow> Deal, Dew> Playin'> China Doll, and Truckin' out of Space, which are just some of the highlights.
