We dive back into another 1974 Wall of Sound show, this one from the Boston Garden, for our Dead of the Day. It is a scintillating show, including an, arguably, best-ever Sugar Mags and Scarlet Begonias, the first-ever standalone Sunshine Daydream, and a massive thirty-minute Weather Report Suite that folds in a few distinct jams and hints heavily at Dark Star. Fire it up and give it a listen; the show will knock your socks off!
Gate crashers and folks hanging from the balcony put an end to the Dead at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, but not before the Dead delivered an incendiary final show on this day in 1988, highlighted by an absolutely epic Scarlet> Fire and capped by a soaring Knockin' On Heaven's Door. Take in this fabulous last show at SPAC.
