On this day in 1993, the boys delivered arguably the best show of the year. The Dead opened with a Help> Slip> Franklin's, played phenomenal versions of some of the newer tunes - So Many Roads, Days Between, Liberty - alongside a sweet and tasty Althea and a powerful Other One, and welcomed Ken Nordine, doing his word jazz, as a guest. Give the entire night a listen at Grateful Dead of the Day.
Highlights of the first set of this solid 1992 show include a feisty Wang Dang Doodle and a top-shelf It's All Over Now, Bruce adding his whirly accordion and spurring Jerry and Vince on to a sensational jam. China> Rider gets the second set started, but it is the magisterial jam in the latter half of Terrapin and the incredible Black Peter that are absolutely not to be missed. Listen to it all. You can also take in the full video of the show at Grateful Dead of the Day.
