At Winterland on this day in '67, the Dead played one of the two live versions of The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion that still exist. They also threw down a scintillating Cream Puff War, morphed an over-the-top bluesy Pig-led Same Thing into a trippy jam, and delivered a whole host of other ridiculousness.
