With a scintillating Good Lovin' and Other One wrapped inside a NFA and topped off with a Lovelight, the show from this day in 1970 is something else, absolutely sick with intensity and speed without a moment of noodling. Give the entire show a listen at Grateful Dead of the Day.
The first set from today’s ‘81 show is a barn burner of the first order, and Jerry is the one who sets it all on fire from the get go, blazing through Alabama Getaway right into Greatest Story. But the highlight of the set is the seventeen-minute Bird Song - arguably the best ever - before Looks Like Rain and Deal see the set out in feverish fashion. This is a doozy of a show, all before an awesome Aiko opens the second set. Read more and listen to the show at Grateful Dead of the Day.
