From Grateful Dead of the Day
On this day back in 1972, the Dead played the first night of a short stand at the Olympia Theater in Paris. They put up nearly thirty tunes and played them all ridiculously well. The highlight, though, is the Truckin'> TOO> Other One> TOO> Bobby McGee> TOO> Wharf Rat, which will almost surely blow your mind. Give the entire massive show a listen at Grateful Dead of the Day.
Without administration permission and amidst heavy police presence, strike organizers smuggled the Dead into the center of a student occupied Columbia University on this day in 1968.
