It's May 8th, so surely you guessed that we are headed off to Barton Hall. You all know the show and that words don't do it justice, but you sure can give it another listen at Grateful Dead of the Day. That inimitable Scarlet> Fire and mind-bending Morning Dew await.
A funky disco-fied Shakedown opens the fantastic second set at Nassau on this day back in 1981. Things stay scorching from there, including on the massive Playin'. Ken Kesey even joins the boys on harmonica and thunder machine before the perfect NFA> Stella> Sugar Mags post-Space segment.
