On this day in 1978, Bobby was under the weather, provoking a 24-minute jam at the start of the second set while the rhythm guitarist threw up backstage. Despite the illness, the night scorched as the rest of the boys picked up the slack, including on a memorable If I Had the World to Give, just the third - and last - time the boys played this beautiful tune. Listen to the entire night of music at Grateful Dead of the Day.
Kevin Tobin gives us another excellent '85 vid. This complete show starts off with a heady Jack Straw, includes a sweet Terrapin, and has a haunting Stella out of Space. Click on over to Grateful Dead of the Day and treat yourself to this lovely video with a Charlie Miller soundboard.
