From Grateful Dead of the Day
Heading from Toronto to Rochester, the Dead decided to add an extra show at Colgate University. With the short lead time, the crowd was only about 1500 strong with preppy students outnumbering the Heads 2 to 1. But everyone got down as the Dead blew the doors off the small gym. One of the best Eyes ever highlighted the show, but the playing was immaculate from top to bottom, including a lovely Cassidy, heady Let It Grow, and all the fireworks of the second set.
