Back in 1971, Jerry turns into a full-on rhythm and blues master while Keith plays a phenomenal honky-tonk organ on one of only two Hide Aways the boys ever played. A bit later, the band rips a stratospheric Dark Star out of a raging Sugar Mags. Then, after a Billy solo, they take a fast and hot, sweating with energy Other One right through to a psychedelic Me And My Uncle - almost like TOO is playing MAMU - before coming back to an even more otherworldly TOO. And there is an outstanding, bone shaking, blistering NFA> GDTRFB> NFA that closes out the set. Listen to all of this and more at Grateful Dead of the Day.
Back in 1985, the Dead once again delivered the goods in Upstate New York as they swept through Rochester on a two-night stand. Check out all the action from the first night on video at Grateful Dead of the Day.
