There was little question about going back to the second and final night at Hampton when the Dead were billed as "Formerly the Warlocks" for our Dead of the Day. The boys are on fire and pulling out all the stops, including breaking out Dark Star after five years and Attics after seventeen. The band plays so bright and fresh all evening, bringing it for the hardcore Deadhead crowd who had managed to score tickets. Listen to the entire night at Grateful Dead of the Day.
A drunken Grace Slick adds some entertainment at the opening of the second set. But the Dead make history all on their own with an epic Playin', one of the best of '72, and a powerful Truckin'> Other One> Wharf Rat, Sugar Mags to see out the show. Check it all out here.
Here is the second night of Hampton 1989 in all its video glory, including the breakout of Dark Star and Attics of My Life. You are not going to want to miss this treat!
