Back in 1969, the Dead played the New Orleans International Pop Festival in Baton Rouge of all places. A roaring, melancholy Dew, one of the greatest High Times ever, and the always sensational combo of Dark Star> Stephen> Eleven> Lovelight make this a top-notch set. Hopped up with energy and firing away, the boys stormed Rochester on this day in '79. Jerry is on fire from the get-go Half Step> Franklin's, but everyone is dealing on the night from Brent's ferocious keys to the drummers' massive 30-minute percussive exploration out of an incredible Scarlet> Fire. Don't sleep on this one; listen up.
