Branford joined the boys (with Bruce) for his third time on this day in 1991. The second set is just magical, beginning with a splendid Help> Slip> Franklin's. The Franklin's, in particular, is just sublime, luscious in its bright and rounded jams, making for a spacious, transcendent soundspace with some lovely vocal harmonies. The Dead continued their 1974 assault on Europe on this day. And while the three-quarters of an hour of Dark Star> Morning Dew is rightfully thought of as the crux of the show, other treats abound, including an immaculate WRS> Stella and the heady China> Rider. Listen to it all now.
