From Grateful Dead of the Day
On this day back in '72, in just the second of 50+ shows at the Spectrum, the Dead put on a scintillating performance. The entire show is superlative, but the Dark Star> Morning Dew is something extra-special. After 30+ minutes of DS, a perfectly beatific acid-bluegrass jam emerges to take it into a lustrous Morning Dew. But stick around for the NFA> GDTRFB> NFA at the end, which is a barn-burner of the first order. Hell, listen to the whole damn show at Grateful Dead of the Day.
